  • Founder and licensed acupuncturist

    Robert McGregor Weingeist, doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and founder of Insight Acupuncture in Iowa City. An Iowa City native and City High School graduate, he earned a BA from the University of Puget Sound in 2002, a master’s from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2008, and a doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine in 2017. Rob has treated patients in private practice since 2008, first in Boston and now in Iowa City. He blends classical Chinese medicine with a modern, evidence based approach focused on quick pain relief, immediate stress reduction, and overall balance. His clinical interests include dry eye and other eye related concerns, pain management, digestive health, and immune support. Patients appreciate his clear communication and practical lifestyle guidance.
